hen putting on a car show it comes down to having the right recipe in place for continued success. The folks who have been organizing the Camaro Nationals have managed to cook up a winning combination that has helped the show grow by building on the positives of the previous years’ successes. In celebration of their 25th anniversary, they once again held their event at the Classic Auto Mall in Morgantown, Pennsylvania. Aided by a stellar weekend of good weather, they continued to up their game by pulling in cars from over 40 states and Canada. With a registered car count of 708 by Saturday afternoon, the organizers surpassed the count of 604 in 2023.

An event of this magnitude needs foot soldiers to make it happen, and the leadership of this effort has been spearheaded by Karl Scheffy, the president of the local Lehigh Valley Camaro Club. With the help of his club members, and the members of the North Eastern Ohio Camaro Club and the Long Island Camaro Club, they have played an instrumental role in its continued success as a volunteer-based event.

This is also a show with a cause and focus on giving back to the community by supporting worthwhile charitable organizations with a banquet, charity auction, 50/50 raffle, and several sponsor donations. This year they were able to raise a total of $15,000 for the Silence of Mary Home for Children and the Bridgeway House.

For the seasoned Camaro collector who wants his car judged, there is an interior space that hosts a variety of different judging options. There are three levels available in the form of the Bow Tie Class, the Legends Class, and the Vintage Class for those with unrestored cars. This is a feather in the organizer’s cap because it draws some extremely rare cars to the show, with restorations and unrestored originals breaking cover every year.

For 2025, the show will once again take place at the Classic Auto Mall in Morgantown, July 18-19, 2025.
