2. Retro-Style Modern Tech
Classic Instruments announces their new electronic Retro-fit Service Package for 1958-1962 Corvettes. The package’s base price includes a stock-styled gauge using the customer’s existing parts. The package has been designed to utilize Classic Instruments’ custom-built ZST Speedometer circuit board, which plugs directly into any engine, transmission, or ECU and can even plug directly into Sky Drive for GPS. The tachometer and other instruments get Classic Instruments’ latest technology as well, including their air-core movements built for precision and durability, and all the necessary sending units.

3. Big Car Chassis
The 1959-1964 fullsize Chevrolets are huge cruisers, and the flex-prone factory X-frame leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to handling and performance. Schwartz Performance offers a full-perimeter G-Machine chassis that accepts all of the original X-frame mounting points. The perimeter chassis design handles the girth of these cars and produces a luxury car ride coupled with sports car–like handling. The front suspension features tubular upper A-arms fit with needle bearings and are engineered with separate camber and caster adjustments. A triangulated four-bar system in the rear incorporates Teflon-lined spherical rod ends for bind-free operation.

4. Throwin’ Flames
PerTronix has expanded their Flame Thrower Coil line with new offerings for late-model GM applications. Whether it’s a performance application with power adders or an increase in power for the stock ignition, Flame Thrower coils will not disappoint. New fitments are available in single-coil or four, six, or, eight packs, depending upon the application. Fifteen percent more available spark energy burns all fuel in the cylinders for more power, quicker starting, and improved mileage. Designed to fit the factory mounting holes for direct OE replacement fit, these OEM-style factory connectors plug directly into factory wiring harness and lock directly into place.

5. AxiShift
If the location of your manual shifter lever doesn’t seem to feel just right, then look no further than Lokar’s new AxiShift and AxiShift Pro manual shift lever adapters. The high-strength steel AxiShift Shift Lever Adapter allows you to make precise adjustments to the position of your shift lever prior to locking it into place. The adapter provides 360 degrees of axial rotation of the lever as well as having the ability to tilt 15 degrees in any direction. Offered in two models, the standard AxiShift simply bolts onto any manual transmission shifter that has a standard 7/8-inch center-to-center mounting dimension, fits TREMEC TKO 500/600 transmissions, and requires replacing the shifter stub and ball joint assembly with the parts included in the kit. The AxiShift Pro has the option to offset the shifter and includes an additional indexable feature for increased adjustability.

Improvements include scalloped hubs and drive plates, stronger chrome-moly spindles, resigned wheel studs, and now come standard with the proven two-piece dynamic rotor design. Less rotating weight combined with increased strength and reliability will give the racer confidence that the car will be safe and perform every time. Floater kits are available in 4¾-, 5-, and 5½-inch bolt patterns.
